Luciano’s Italian Street Food, KLCC

Good cheap pizza, but not a nice place to eat.

Restaurants in Wisma Central klcc, Luciano’s Italian Street Food

Whoa, cheap pizza that isn’t fast food? Luciano’s Italian Street Food is a humble little restaurant near the Petronas Towers that makes quality pizza affordable. They also have pasta, fresh bread, and what looks like a real Italian man behind the counter!

Ambience & Amenities

The entrance to Luciano’s Italian Street Food is down the side road to the left of Wisma Central’s car park ramp. It is a long, narrow restaurant with only about ten tables. Luciano’s restaurant isn’t the place for long meals and socializing. It’s cramped, and there’s nowhere to look except at the other guests eating.

There is no toilet or hand washing station inside the small restaurant. We had to use the crappy public facilities in Wisma Central to wash up after eating. Exit through the back door into Wisma Central. Turn right to head to the middle of the shopping complex, then follow the signs to the washrooms. The public toilets didn’t have any toilet paper anywhere. There was no hand soap at the sink either, which is unsettling considering that all the restaurant employees nearby use this washroom. I highly recommend you wash your hands properly before coming to Luciano’s, or bring antibacterial wipes.

There are a few copies of Luciano’s Italian Street Food’s menu at the cash register. There are currently only ten different varieties of pizza. Remember to check out the chalkboard behind the counter to see the non-pizza food menu. Don’t get high hopes of ordering a dish you saw on Google review photos (like I did) because this menu changes daily.

There is no filtered water, only the still water on the menu for RM2.50. There’s a 7-Eleven at the front of the building where you can get something else. We brought our own drink and had it on our table discreetly, but the staff didn’t notice or mind.

Food

We ordered the Chicken Pizza (RM21.50). It was about eight inches wide and cut into twelve small squares. While I prefer slightly thicker crusts, the crust on Luciano’s pizza wasn’t too thin. The crust was thick enough that the pizza could support all the ingredients and flopped only slightly when I picked it up. There is a generous amount of toppings, but we couldn’t taste any smoked cheese. The server brought chilli oil and flakes with our pizza without us having to ask – a clear sign that Luciano’s is a pizzeria for Malaysians!

Saturday Worthy?

Luciano’s Italian restaurant review

Eating here feels very utilitarian. I wouldn’t say we had an enjoyable lunch – we just ate our pizza and left as quickly as possible. The staff wasn’t rude or anything, Luciano’s Italian Street Food just has an unpleasant dining area. The pizza was alright, so I could see us enduring it to get a quick snack if we were in the area. The better idea is to get takeaway and eat in KLCC Park, in my opinion.

Price for 2 Pax: RM21.50
