At LostxFound, what you see is not always what you get.

LostxFound Cafe is a quaint and comfortable little space. Surrounded by bustling bak ku teh joints, LostxFound stands out as a place to do work on your laptop and have a quiet lunch.
Ambience & Amenities

LostxFound’s interior has an eclectic style. The sunshine-yellow plant wall and hidden cat door painting exude youthful modernity, while industrial chic radiates through the faux brick and vintage black-and-white photographs of… kampong life? Except for a picnic bench on the patio, all of the tables are quite small. Be prepared to share some personal space with your dining companion.

LostxFound Cafe is a place that encourages hanging out for hours and seems like it was designed for intimate one-on-one coffee dates. There’s a golden cup on each table filled with cards with interesting questions. Not only are they a way to pass the time while waiting for your food to arrive, but they’re also an amusing way to find out more about someone, even if you’ve known them for decades. Some of the questions are fun and whimsical, but some are very personal and might be too suggestive for a first date.

The toilets are at the back of the restaurant on the right side of the corridor. There is only one unisex stall – a toilet behind swinging saloon doors. Not much in the way of privacy, but there’s toilet paper inside and nice soap at the sink.
Menu at LostxFound Cafe
The LostxFound menu has changed recently. Most of the items remain the same, but the more ethnic or pricey dishes, such as pad thai and lamb shank, have been deleted. Surprisingly, a few dishes are cheaper – unheard of nowadays, where everything only becomes more expensive. All of the food is pork-free and Muslim-friendly. Also free is filtered water – there’s a dispenser jug at the counter.

Food at LostxFound Cafe

The Masala Poppers (RM18) are an item that has reduced in price since the menu change (previously RM20). It is my first time ordering them, so I don’t know if the portion size is any smaller. There’s a generous coating of spicy masala powder, but the chicken bites were a bit overcooked. The mint dip was useful not only to ease the heat but also to prevent the dish from being overly dry.

The Ayam Geprek Sando (RM26) was like a Tinder profile: it looked nothing like the picture. It’s supposed to be on charcoal bread, but we got thick-cut white toast. The garlic sauce was an orangey blob, tasting like mayonnaise, ketchup and garlic powder. The chicken slab was tasty – hefty and juicy, smothered in spicy mayo to pack a punch. Unfortunately, the sauce, lettuce and tomato caused the ingredients to slide around constantly while biting into the sandwich.
Saturday Worthy?
We’ve been to LostxFound several times now. My issue is that the menu descriptions and pictures often don’t match what’s served. Instead of informing us of an ingredient change, the kitchen will make a (usually cheaper) substitution and serve it anyway. On a previous visit, they swapped pita bread for a tortilla in our chicken wrap. The taste is still good enough for the price, which is why we keep going back to it when we’re in the area.
