The Bangsar cafe is here to stay with a solid location in Mont Kiara
Lisette’s Cafe & Bakery is yet another popular Bangsar eatery getting a piece of the Mont Kiara action. Securing prime real estate in 163 Retail Park, Lisette’s is always busy with families and fashionable brunchers.
Ambience & Amenities
Lisette’s Cafe & Bakery has three different dining areas with their own distinct vibe. The main dining room is homey and cosy, lit by warm bulbs. The sunroom at the front of the cafe is very bright, with a view of Jalan Kiara. Finally, the indoor patio is lush with lots of plants and splashes of colour.
There is a handwashing station inside the restaurant, next to the kitchen window. There is no toilet, however. To get to the nearest mall facilities, exit Lisette’s (either from the front entrance or the patio entrance) and turn left. The mall’s toilets are in the corridor with the elevators and car park entrance.

Every table will have a QR menu. Physical menus exist, but you have to ask for them. Lisette’s has an international menu with a large breakfast section. Most of the pastries in the cabinet are on the QR menu, but it doesn’t hurt to check them out at the front entrance. Water is free. A server brought us fresh glasses of water throughout our meal.
Food
We ordered a Flat White (RM12) with Oat Milk (RM2 extra) and a Moonlit Island Breeze (RM16) to drink. The tropical cooler was much better than I expected. Lots of sweetness without being too much, with the tingle of spicy ginger at the back of my throat after every sip.
The Eggs Benedict Beef Bacon (RM38) is two eggs on a thick slice of bread. There was decent runniness to the egg when we cut into it. Mark enjoyed the bread, which was soft and tasted like it was seasoned with garlic butter. The beef bacon makes this dish. The bites I had without any bacon were a little bland. This is one of the most expensive egg bennies we’ve had, and I don’t think it’s worth it, in my opinion.
I got the Beef Pie with Mash and Gravy (RM36). The gravy looked so thick, almost like sambal. The crust is thick and buttery. When I cut a wedge out, the pie stayed very clean. There was no crumbling pastry or filling spilling out. The filling was very flavourful with tender beef. This is a high-quality pie from Lisette’s. I put small dollops of gravy onto my pie, which elevated the taste. The pie barely needs it, but there was more than enough gravy.
Saturday Worthy?
Lisette’s is an easy choice. This place always has tonnes of people eating here, yet we’ve never had to wait for a seat. The restaurant is beautiful, and the extensive menu means there’s always something new to try. The beef pie alone is worth coming back to Lisette’s again and again. It’s also a great place for just coffee and a snack with its selection of delicious-looking pastries. It isn’t cheap, of course, so Lisette’s Cafe & Bakery will only be an occasional treat for us.
