Cafe Laman Tuanku, Sri Hartamas

Posted on July 4, 2026July 1, 2026 By The Perpetual Saturday No Comments on Cafe Laman Tuanku, Sri Hartamas

A hidden garden cafe that not many people know about… yet.

Best Brunch cafes in KL

Cafe Laman Tuanku is a chic cafe located in a public garden that no one goes to. The centrepiece of Laman Tuanku off Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, this upscale eatery has full tables despite its obscure location.

Ambience & Amenities

Cafe Laman Tuanku is a beautiful circular room with a central skylight illuminating the cafe’s potted plants. Tables line the periphery of the room, along with more patio seating out front.

The toilets are behind the wood-panelled wall to the right of the front entrance when you walk in. The combination disabled/women’s washroom was a single, spacious room with a toilet and sink. It had soap and paper towels, but apparently the men’s room only had flimsy toilet paper for drying hands.

Menu at Cafe Laman Tuanku

Cafe Laman Tuanku’s menu is separated into breakfast and all-day dining. There’s an ample selection of brunch options, while mains, burgers and pasta have a decent number of varied choices.

I didn’t see anyone else in the restaurant with filtered water, only bottled Spritzer water that the cafe sells. Be prepared for no free filtered water.

Our Fries (RM16) arrived quickly after ordering. Housed in a large cone, these crispy shoestring fries were dusted with green herbs. The provided dipping sauces were sweet chilli and mayonnaise. We also ordered a Caramel Latte (RM14 + RM2 oat milk) and a Strawberry Lemonade (RM26). The latter was quite pricey for a simple mocktail, but it was particularly delicious and refreshing with strong strawberry flavours.

Saturday Worthy?

We only stopped in for an afternoon snack, but I intend to have a proper meal here in the future so I can do a full review. I’ve done recon on this place twice, and both times the restaurant was decently busy even though the surrounding park was dead – that has to mean something. For now, Cafe Laman Tuanku is only for people in the know and hasn’t gone viral yet… though it feels like it’s imminent.

Price for 2 Pax: RM63.80

Fries: RM16.00
Strawberry Lemonade: RM26.00
Caramel Latte with Oat Milk: RM16.00
10% Service: RM5.80
