Wolf & Turtle Coffee, The Stories of Taman Tunku

Posted on March 28, 2026March 27, 2026 By The Perpetual Saturday No Comments on Wolf & Turtle Coffee, The Stories of Taman Tunku
Best coffee shops in KL

Wolf & Turtle Coffee is the highly hyped coffee chain with over ten outlets in KL, including their smash burger bar and a mobile coffee truck. Other brands will claim their coffee is “more than just a beverage, it’s a lifestyle.” At Wolf & Turtle, coffee is an obsession that they proudly wear on their sleeve, literally, with branded merch!

Ambience & Amenities

Restaurants at The Stories of Taman Tunku

Compared to their other outlets, Wolf & Turtle Coffee at The Stories is rather dark. The sunshades on the patio obscure the natural light, and the dark wood and leather don’t help. The patio is a little brighter, but shaded from every side.

A coffee shop selling bags of their coffee beans is nothing out of the ordinary, but how about a coffee shop selling branded apparel? Wolf & Turtle’s outlet at The Stories offers their range of shirts and caps, which complement the brand’s biker and skateboarder aesthetic.

The toilets are next to the counter, through the left door. There are two stalls with toilets and two sinks. Extra toilet paper is underneath the counters.

Menu at Wolf & Turtle Coffee

Wolf & Turtle’s menu is a little limited, but it gets the job done if you’re looking for brunch. There are bottles of free filtered water to the left of where you place your order.

Food at Wolf & Turtle Coffee

The Mocha Coconut (RM19.50) was a last-minute decision – it looked too good to pass up. On my first sip, my eyes instinctively closed as I savoured the flavours of rich, dark chocolate and the coffee. The sweet coconut cream makes the drink almost like an ice blended – more to satisfy a sweet tooth rather than to get a caffeine hit.

Wolf & Turtle Coffee review

The Ribeye Steak and Cheese (RM30) reminds me of a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. The Dutch bread is super thick, and the cheese is stringy, not at all like a cheese sauce. The beef was, unfortunately, a bit tough. I wasn’t able to bite through the meat a couple of times and had to separate it with my fingers.

The Wolf Chilli Fries (RM27) were a larger portion than I expected. It was hearty enough to be my main dish and have some leftover for sharing. There was a reasonable amount of chilli and cheese sauce, so that I got very few bare fries. These chilli fries were a gluttonous, delicious indulgence, but a dense meal. I was burping and feeling bloated for hours afterwards.

Saturday Worthy?

The food didn’t impress me, but Wolf & Turtle is the only option left for western-style brunch at The Stories at Taman Tunku. I didn’t like Turks, and I wouldn’t come out here for Kenny Hills when there’s an outlet in my neighbourhood. The coffee is probably much better, but I’m not enough of a coffee connoisseur to be the judge of that.
