This curious little kopitam doesn’t look like anything special, but it is the secret favourite for many denizens of Ipoh.
Wondermama is worth a visit. Especially if you’re in that part of 1 Utama’s old wing and can’t be arsed to walk all the way to that restaurant in the new wing that you want.
I went to two Tiger Char Koay Teow stalls 100m apart from each other in the same morning and ordered the same dish to find out if their taste was identical.
The food and drink are certainly not worth their prices, but this is the best spot with a view on Penang Hill
For the same price as the hawkers (or maybe even cheaper!) you can eat in a much nicer and relaxed setting but still get the same authentic, homemade Penang food
